plane crashed into each tower. The stations are reporting this as a
terrorist attack. ABC (maybe the other stations, too) has actual
footage of the second plane hitting the second tower. Does anyone we know
work there? There were reports of a
hijacking right before the second plane hit. I hope there were not
innocent people on the planes. |

they say that the plane just flew straight into the building, not even
an attempt to avoid it. If those plane just
took off from JFK or Laguardia then they also have a full load of jet
fuel. Its bad, and its gonna

weapon of choice for these terrorist attacks American jetlines hijacked
form domestic airports...I'd say yes, it makes total an complete sense.
The scary thing is, no
one will know if there are more out there until they get all of the
planes on the ground. A domestic airliner is
a HUGE plane with alot of Jet Fuel. There is nothing in plave in your
average US city to deal with one before it hits the ground, and who
would make the call to shoot down a planeload of innocent travellers...
Its very clever, and
its hitting the United States where it is most vulnerable, and there is
little we can do to stop it until its over...hopefully it is. Supposedly a huge aprt
of the WTC just collpased!!!!! Anyone know where Broad
Street is in Manhattan? I have a sister who works there that I cannot
get a hold of. |

floors. That area is all in a
cloud of debris and smoke. The reporters say people are running away,

treasury department, and they're apparently evacuating the UN building
in NY and the Sears building in Chicago. They're saying the
pentagon was hit by a military helicopter, but the info remains
sketchy, and I'm pretty blown myself. Other plane was out of
Newark? Prayers to all. |

right now, does NOT happen anywhere all
the time. No terrorist attack of this magnititude has EVER happened anywhere
before. There may be thousands
of deaths before this day is over. There is no overreacting going on

would normally have 160 passengers. There were 90 on the flight today. Both planes at the WTC
were hijacked from American Airlines in
Dallas (going to LA). The second plane had 60 passengers. Does anyone need

what I am feeling. I feel sick. I am sure I can speak
for us all when I say that they thoughts and prayers of the nation are
with the people of New York City and the personel at the Pentagon. EVERYONE: Remember
where you are today, remember your feelings as you hear the news roll
in, fix it in you mind because there are not many time where you can
say that you were there when the world changed. Today the world has
changed, and its not pretty. We now know what Americans felt on that
"Day that would live in infamy." Remember this so that you can convey
it to your children and your grandchildren. And I am not being overly
dramatic. The United States has been proven vulnerable today, the last
time that happened we spent the next 5 years embroiled in a world war
that changed the face of the world forever. When the human toll comes
in the American public will give the government Carte Blanc to resolve
and rettaliate as they see fit. Make no mistake, the
world tomorrow will be a different place than the world today. What
will come of this? Who can say? But whatever the results, good or bad,
remember it, freeze it in your mind, so you can say you were there the
day the world changed, and you can remember the way it was. And also remember, it's
not over until all the airliners in the US are on the ground. |

footage on TV when the second building collapsed in front of my eyes
and filled lower manhattan with (more) smoke. looking out my back
window, you wouldn't know- glad gary and zeno are
ok! there's a plane flying
overhead, eeks- just laying low here in

floor of WTC building #1. I was glad that I was
late for work. at 8:45 AM, I walked out of the subway into the
concourse of the WTC when I saw billows of smoke rushing towards me and
people screaming. That was the first
plane. Then I got outside into
pandemonium. There were people jumping out of the buildings because of
the fire. It was disturbing. After the second
explosion people cleared the area and I got home safely. |

block from CNN, and so far some buildings are being evacuated and CNN
has a tremendous amount of security in evidence. I just heard that the
Russell Building and the Atlanta Journal Constitution are being
evacuated. Figure that the last place a terrorist wants to hit is the
major news artery that gives them all this spectacular coverage. I am
