Jonathan Coulton & the Ill Clan want to eat your brains

CoultonTrashtalk2

Last night was some geek goodness at the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theater.  The machinima-powered comedy team Ill Clan teamed up with the folk music star of the blogosphere Jonathan Coulton to perform live last night at UCB's midtown theater space.  Seeing Ill Clan perform their "Trash Talk" show live was pretty cool. The virtual characters were projected onto a large screen onstage, while the voice actors and puppeteers sat to the left of the screen, operating what looked like a dozen laptops.

The highlight of the evening though was having Jonathon rezz into the virtual talk show as, naturally, a flesh-eating zombie.  Then the real Jonathan Coulton got up on stage and performed his new song "RE: your brains" , a hilarious ditty about what would happen if your annoying co-worker became a member of the undead.

Later we retired to a horrible pub nearby where we ate lots of bad buffalo wings and talked about nerd stuff like "Firefly" and the new Superman movie. Eventually we were chased out by a gentle but very insistent prosyletizing crazy person, which I am sure will end up in a Coulton song eventually.
