Playing with Alt-Zoom's tracking camera

Altzoom
I read on New World Notes about the free Alt-Zoom camera being promoted by machinimaniac Moo Money.  Moo posted a cool video on YouTube that consisely and clearly demonstrates how to use this in-world video camera.

I decided to give it a spin tonight, and finally got it to take a very basic tracking shot of Info Island after many, many unsuccessful tries. Not Moo's fault, I'm just dumb.  The coolest part was learning how to turn off the SL interface in the video. You can download my crappy test video here.

Machinima Film Festival, here I come! (Or not.)

UPDATE 9/25/06 1pm: Here's the SLURL to teleport to the Alt-Zoom studios, where you can get your very own copy of this camera.  It's in the theatre near the stage. You're welcome.

I'm feeling a bit lost here because for the life of me I can't find where to buy one of these cameras in world and I'd love to give it a try.

The introduction video was very well done.
