Final pics from Versu's 72-hour build-a-thon

Versu10_006

Versu did it!  She emerged, unscathed (and dry) from her 72-hour voluntary confinement to a storefront window for a virtual build-a-thon from the corner of 39th Street and 5th avenue.  The results from my non-expert perspective are quite impressive, with a high level of detail and sense of place designed by the master builder.

More pics after the jump.

The traffic seemed about right for that busy thoroughfare.

Nice looking New York public library next door.  For you kids out there, "libraries" are those places we went to read for hours before Barnes and Nobles came along.

The SLPD was on hand to ward off griefers.  They didn't manage to keep the grid from crashing though.

I decided to try out Versu's workspace and steal some of her Gummi bears.

I immediately got claustrophic and depressed and needed to escape.

The view from Versu's Empire State Building was quite grand, although I don't know if it's actually that close to 39th Street.

Awesome detail on the signage.

Hurray for Versu!  Now go take a hot bath and then sleep in a real bed.  We'll miss voyeuristically peeping at you at all hours.
