Teens create Second Life PSAs on obesity, piracy, intolerance
Youth non-profit Global Kids announces that five teams of teenagers has completed 30-second Public Service Announcements created in Second Life. The PSAs cover a range of issues including obesity, media literacy, piracy, discrimination and safe surfing on the net. Okay, these videos aren't going to win any Mackies for machinima excellence, but it's great seeing young people using Second Life to put out positive social messages.
(I blogged previously about other machinima for good.)

Rik-
Thanks for bringing our teens' early machinima efforts to a broader audience. These PSA's were the results of a teens learning the absolute basics in terms of both Second Life and machinima, and we look forward to showcasing a longer, culminating piece at the end of the year on the topic of child soldiers.
