As I mentioned in March, fellow lindy hopper Alain Wong from Montreal committed to riding a bicycle from Vancouver, BC to Tijuana, Mexico for the cause of microcredit lending. I got to meet Alain and some of his friends at Boston Tea Party, which was really cool. Alain and his bike team began their ride a couple of days ago, which you can read about on his blog.
As a reminder , here's the description of why he's riding so far:
There are two goals to this 3000 km, 7 week ride. I’m raising $3000 for the AOC micro-credit fund, and I’m promoting micro-credit as a tool to fight poverty and empower women. All the money you donate will go directly to people in need, without overhead. So support me by donating today.
