Yesterday I went to the organizer's meeting for an upcoming Human Rights Festival happening in Second Life this December 10, the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. They have some big ideas for holding an all-day, multi-sim series of events, from concerts, poetry readings, panel discussions and fundraisers. Here's the announcement:
As you may have heard there is going to be a Festival in SL celebrating Human Rights starting 10 December. It´s 60 years since the UN launched the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. We have started now to organise the festival. How big it will be depends on how many events, concerts & exhibitions YOU send us. We hope that you all think this is important and will help us to make this Festival a successful one.
For more info and to participate contact the SL Human Rights Festival Organising Committee: Any1 Gynoid (Music events), Bibi Book, junivers Stockholm or Geni Figaro (other events and exhibitions). They welcome all to their organizer's meeting every Thursday 2pm at Xanadu West (click here for teleport link.)
