The Dancer's Den Brings the Swing to Berkeley

Dancers Den in Berkeley : birthday jam

Last night I had the pleasure of going to the Dancer's Den in downtown Berkeley. The Dancer's Den is a weekly lindy hop dance venue with classes and open social dancing organized by UC Berkeley alums James McBryan, Joleigh Davis, Jean Ma, and Bromley Palamountain. Held in the elegant Berkeley City Club, it's a great place to learn how to swing, dance all night, and socialize with the mostly college-age crowd.

Here's a killer performance at the last Dancer's Den, choreographed by Jean and Bromley.

I had a great time and look forward to coming back.  Definitely check it out if you are in the Bay Area.

The Dancer's Den is every Wednesday at 2315 Durant Ave, Berkeley CA. Dance classes are just $15 /$12 for full time students (which includes the dance after), or attend the dance only for $8 / $6 for students.
